- New Advisor Announced ! The members of 13L would like to welcome Orice Williams as the group's newest advisor. Orice joins Glenn Sutton, Vic Rezendes, and Ray Blunt in providing valuable advice and counsel as 13L continues to grow. Thank you to Orice for signing on!
- New Member Announced ! 13L is pleased to welcome Kitty Wooley as the newest member of the leadership collective. Kitty's passion and enthusiasm will truly be a tremendous asset to the group. Welcome aboard Kitty!
- A Reach-Out to Prospective Members. The members of 13L -- Scott Derrick, Don Jacobson, Jeffrey Vargas, Mike O'Leary, Jeri Buchholz, Patricia Armstrong, Gail Williams, and Kitty Wooley -- are currently meeting with prospective members from across federal departments and agencies. - Viewpoint on Leadership. In this month's Viewpoints column, member Gail Williams discusses the book entitled How Full Is Your Bucket?, which proposes strategies to increase positive emotions in your and others' lives.
- 13L Member Recognized for Leadership Development Program. Congratulations to Gail Williams! Gail is co-creator and program manager of NASA's Leadership Alchemy Program, which recently received the Distinguished Service Award for Instructional Design from the Training Officers Conference, a nonprofit organization of federal trainers and other professionals interested in human resources and training.
- 13L Member in the News. Jeri Buchholz was recently interviewed for an excellent article on the issue of work-life balance. Jeri was also quoted in a news story covering the recent forum co-sponsored by 13L on successful strategies for first-line supervisors in coaching and developing new government employees.
